If you are tech-savvy, you can technically force the browser to store its data in a specific folder (like on a USB) using the --user-data-dir flag in a Windows shortcut. However, this still requires the browser to be installed on the host machine to run the core application files.

Yandex does not officially provide a standalone "portable" version of its browser for download. The standard installer is available on the official Yandex Browser page .

You now have a fully functional portable Yandex Browser, without registry changes. However, be aware that some Chromium background services may still attempt to write to %LocalAppData% . To prevent this, use command-line flags (see Step 3).

After extraction, about 200–250 MB. Compressed portable packages (e.g., in .7z or .paf.exe format) are typically 80–100 MB.
