Corrupt drivers are the #1 technical cause of this mismatch.
If you purchased your Autodata license from an unofficial reseller or online marketplace (eBay, AliExpress, etc.), you may have a cloned dongle. Autodata’s newer versions (3.44+) contain anti-cloning routines that detect counterfeit hardware. The error message is intentionally vague, but in cloned units, the "hardware information" inside the fake dongle never truly matches any real fingerprint.
