Plug a microphone into the line-in port (blue) or a headset into the speaker-out port (green). The manager detects the device and asks: "Which device did you plug in?" – Choose Headphones, Mic-in, Line-in, or SPDIF-out. This flexibility is missing in generic Microsoft drivers.
